Jazz is influenced by changes and the lives that each musicians go through. ETX pays homage by bringing in different talents from across all walks of life with varying artistic upbringing be it hip-hop, RnB, traditional indigenous music, underground post-rock and electronic music. This in turn makes ETX a melting pot of ideas and sonic colors, using jazz as a common anchor.

ETX began through exploring jazz inspirations coming from the roaring 20s all the way up to modern contemporary interpretations of today; eventually stumbling upon the sounds of untapped ethnic roots of Borneo and their potential in the world of jazz compositions and performative mediums.
